about

"I find myself scratching my head (among other things) trying to figure out what to say about these poems. I suppose I could tell you that many of them are available in my book THE BUOYANCY OF IT ALL (New Sins Press) which has been roaming the landscape since early 2012. I guess it’d be worth mentioning that several of these poems where composed while I was earning my MFA at Virginia Tech from 2007 to 2010. I’d think it appropriate to say that few of them are new; I write less poems these days. I’d say that’s due to working too much and spending my limited writing time toiling on a memoir that’ll probably never see the light of day (isn’t that always the way). I guess I could tell you more about these poems, but what could I really say that they don’t say all on their own: they’re composed of lots of heavy letters, and I hope you enjoy or drown in them or let them teach you to swim or, maybe, just breathe with them for a spell."
