Anniversary Song

about

I wrote and recorded this song on the morning of 4/9/2014. It was just in me, and I needed to get it out and down before splitting for work. Didn't even have the lyrics in my head when I recorded them—had to read the song notes off the scrap paper where I’d thrown 'em down and fill in the gaps on the run. Only had time for one take. It was fun. I figured I'd record it again when I worked out the kinks and was feeling fresher. Haven't done that. Maybe I still will. But there's something about the fact that this is the recording of the song, just as I was making it on that morning of Jan’s and my wedding anniversary. That means something. I don’t know what. Maybe someone knows and can tell me, but I don’t. Just feels like it does.
